A frontal system approaching from the west will cause skies to become cloudy later this morning with some light showers likely this afternoon. Likely rainfall should be less than a tenth of an inch.
The front will come through Saturday night and colder air will slowly filter into our area on Sunday with snow developing late morning and ending around midnight. Likely accumulations of 4-8 inches, a winter storm watch is in effect.
After the storm passes we will likely have the coldest air of the season Monday through at least Thursday then moderating somewhat by Friday. We should stay mainly dry during the week but we still have to watch for possible coastal storm development Wednesday and again on Friday. Right now it looks that the two storms will stay well to our south and east.
