Fog and drizzle early this morning then becoming windy and quite mild with showers developing later this afternoon and become heavy at times at night into Monday morning! Still a chance of showers Monday afternoon! Mild and dry Tuesday and Wednesday! Chance of showers on Thursday followed by cooler, windy and drier air for Friday!

Skies are cloudy and there is considerable dense fog in much of the area along with some drizzle. Temperatures are mild with readings mainly in the mid 40s over the entire area. The winds are light mainly from the southeast. The air quality is moderate with an index of 71.

A warm front will move to our north this morning and a brisk southerly flow will clear out much of the drizzle and fog by noontime. It should remain cloudy. A cold front will cross the area tonight accompanied by strong southerly winds to 35 mph and heavy rain at times. Temperatures will be quite mild with highs well up into the 60s. Rainfall amounts will be between 1-2 inches.

The frontal system will be slow to move offshore so there will be a chance of showers throughout the day on Monday. Temperatures will be a little cooler with a brisk wind at times.

Tuesday and Wednesday look to be nice spring like days with plenty of sunshine, lighter winds and mild temperatures.

A cold front is expected to pass through our area on Thursday possibly accompanied by some showers and followed by a strong northwest flow of much cooler air for Friday.

TODAY – MAR 16 – Fog and mist early this morning then remaining cloudy and becoming windy, Chance of showers after 2 p.m. then rain after 5 p.m. Highs in the mid 60s. Winds gusting to 38 mph.

TONIGHT – Cloudy with showers heavy at times, windy, lows in the low 50s. Wind gusts to 36 mph. Total rainfall between 1-2 inches.

MONDAY – MAR 17 – Cloudy with rain likely in the morning then a chance of showers in the afternoon and evening, highs near 60.

TUESDAY – MAR 18 – Sunny, highs in the low 60s.

WEDNESDAY – MAR 19 – Mostly sunny, highs in the low 60s.

THURSDAY – MAR 20 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers after 2 p.m., highs in the upper 50s.

FRIDAY – MAR 21 – Mostly sunny, windy and cooler, highs in the upper 40s.

SATURDAY – MAR 22 – Mostly sunny, highs in the mid 50s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Tuesday morning for southwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 6-11 feet.

OUTLOOK: Advisories expected to continue Tuesday afternoon; no advisories expected Tuesday night through the day on Wednesday; advisories again likely Wednesday night into the day on Thursday!
