Breezy and quite cool with rain mixed with snow and sleet this morning tapering off to light rain and drizzle this afternoon and continuing into this evening! Mostly cloudy and not as cool on Sunday! Mild Monday and Tuesday with a chance of showers Monday night! Dry and cooler Wednesday and Thursday! Milder on Friday with a chance of showers!

Skies are cloudy early on this Saturday morning and rain is falling over the area mixed with snow and sleet, especially over the higher terrain. It is chilly with temperatures ranging from 33 in Clifton down to 30 at High Point and Vernon. Winds are gusty out of the north. The air quality is good with an index of 34.

Low pressure will be moving up the coast today and with a northerly flow of colder air we will have rain this morning mixed at times with snow and sleet, no accumulations are expected in Clifton but a couple of inches may accumulated across the higher elevations to our north and west. The precipitation will change to light rain and drizzle this afternoon and continue into this evening.

High pressure will build into the area on Sunday with still mostly cloudy skies but high temperatures will be around 15 degrees higher than today.

Dry and mild during the day on Monday but a cold front will cause some showers Monday night.

Tuesday will still be mild but another stronger but dry cold front will move through the area Tuesday evening.

High pressure will then give us dry and cooler air for Wednesday and Thursday.

Milder on Friday but there may be some showers.

MONDAY – APR 14 – Partly sunny, highs in the mid 60s, chance of showers at night.

TUESDAY – APR 15 – Partly sunny with a chance of early showers, highs in the mid 60s.

WEDNESDAY – APR 16 – Mostly sunny, highs in the mid 50s.

THURSDAY – APR 17 – Sunny, highs in the upper 50s.

FRIDAY – APR 18 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs in the mid 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: A gale warning is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for northeast winds gusting to 35 knots, seas 7-10 feet.

OUTLOOK: Possible advisories for Sunday morning; no advisories expected Sunday afternoon through the day on Tuesday; advisories probably Tuesday night through Wednesday.
