We have mostly clear skies early this morning and temperatures are about 20 degrees colder than this time yesterday, mainly in the mid 30s in Clifton to the upper 20s further inland, winds are light northerly.
Today we will see increasing clouds during the day along with chilly temperatures.
The storm system that we have been watching looks like it will be a little more robust than what was indicated yesterday and with cold air in place it is likely that we will have see our first snow of the season late tonight. Precipitation will start out as a mix of snow and rain later this evening changing to all snow overnight, look for 1/2 an inch to an inch of snowfall by daybreak tomorrow morning, untreated roads and sidewalks may be slippery for tomorrow morning’s commute.
Clearing during the day Friday with cold temperatures.
The weekend will be dry and continued cold.
Another storm system will likely give us more precipitation on Monday and we may see snow changing to rain and then back to snow before ending, at this time no accumulation is expected in our area but further inland may see an inch or two of snow.
Even colder weather but dry Tuesday through Friday, highs will struggle to reach 40 and lows generally will be in the 20s with the teens further inland.
Looking further ahead it appears that Thanksgiving week will be mild.

SUNDAY – Mostly cloudy, high in the upper 40s.
MONDAY – Cloudy with a chance of rain possibly starting as snow and then changing back to snow before ending Monday evening, high in the upper 40s.
TUESDAY – Mostly sunny, high near 40.
WEDNESDAY – Sunny, high near 40.
MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – North wind to 8 knots, seas 1 foot.
Small craft advisory will be in effect form midnight tonight till 6pm Friday evening.
OUTLOOK – No advisories over the weekend, small craft advisory possible on Monday for higher seas.
