Skies are cloudy at 6am this morning and temperatures are around 20 degrees in Clifton ranging to some single digits in some of the colder valleys, winds are nearly calm.
A weak warm front will cross the area this morning accompanied by cloudy skies and a chance of a couple of flurries, not as cold today with highs reaching close to 40 degrees.
An Arctic cold front will cross the area on Thursday morning which is likely to give us a brief band of snow that may accumulate to about an inch. Gusty northwest winds will follow the front along with a return to much colder air, temperatures may fall to the single digits by Friday morning.
Friday will be a dry but very cold day.
Slightly moderating temperatures for the weekend but snow will be likely starting on Sunday which may last until Tuesday, at this point it is difficult to guess on snow accumulations but they may be significant.

TODAY – Cloudy and not as cold, high near 40.
TONIGHT – Cloudy with light snow likely after 2am, low in the mid 20s.
THURSDAY – Cloudy with some snow likely in the morning becoming windy, high around 30 in the morning dropping to the low 20s by sunset, accumulation of around 1 inch.
FRIDAY – Partly sunny and very cold, high in the low 20s.
SATURDAY – Partly sunny and not as cold, high in the upper 30s.
SUNDAY – Cloudy with snow likely, high in the low 30s.
MONDAY – Cloudy with snow likely, high near 30.
TUESDAY – Cloudy with a chance of snow in the morning then clearing, high in the mid 30s.
MARINE FORECAST: Small craft advisory will be in effect from 10am this morning till 10pm tonight for southerly winds to 30 knots, seas 3-6 feet.
Gale warning will be in effect from 11am till 11pm on Thursday.
OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Friday into Sunday morning with advisories possible Sunday night.
