Skies are cloudy early this Monday morning and temperatures are milder than yesterday morning with readings ranging from the low 60s in the Clifton area to the upper 50s inland, there is a light southerly wind flow.
Today will be cloudy and warmer, there is a chance of some showers in the Poconos this morning the may clip extreme portions of northwest New Jersey but most of the the thunderstorm activity will hold off till this evening with some of these storms being strong. It will be warmer and gradually more humid today.
On Tuesday there may be some showers in the morning but strong thunderstorms may occur in the afternoon, it will continue to be warm and humid.
Wednesday and Thursday should be dry but quite warm to hot with Thursday being the hottest day when we may reach 90 degrees.
A front moving into the area may cause more showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon into Saturday it will also become more humid.
Sunday should be dry with warm temperatures and less humid conditions.

TODAY – Cloudy and more humid, high in the low 80s.
TONIGHT – Cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely, some of these storms may be strong with heavy rain, strong gusty winds and small hail, low in the upper 60s.
TUESDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the morning and thunderstorms possible in the afternoon, some of these storms may be strong, high in the low 80s.
WEDNESDAY – Sunny, high in the mid 80s.
THURSDAY – Mostly sunny and hot, high near 90.
FRIDAY – Mostly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 80s.
SATURDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 80s.
SUNDAY – Sunny and less humid, high in the low 80s.
MARINE FORECAST: Small craft advisories in effect till 6 p.m. on Tuesday for southerly winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-6 feet. Water temperatures are in the upper 50s and there is a high risk of rip currents today.
OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Wednesday through Friday.
