Skies are clear early this Saturday morning and temperatures are not as cool as the last couple of mornings with readings ranging from the upper 60s in Clifton to around 60 further inland, winds are nearly calm.
Today will be the start of an extended period of hot weather, we will have plenty of sunshine with temperatures reaching the low 90s, humidity will be moderate with dew points in the low-mid 60s. There is a slight chance of an afternoon or evening shower mostly across the Poconos and the Hudson Valley but most areas will remain dry.
Sunny and even hotter Sunday and Monday with highs mainly in the mid 90s again humidity will be moderate but not oppressive.
We should stay hot the rest of next week and no widespread rain is expected the best chance of showers will be on Friday as a cold front tries to move into the area. Temperatures may be less hot Wednesday through Friday but the humidity will be higher.
