Skies are mostly clear on this Wednesday morning and with calm winds temperatures have fallen to the low 20s here in Clifton to the mid-upper teens inland. On this date in 1982 we had an April blizzard that dropped a foot of snow and a nighttime reading of 18 degrees.
High pressure over the area this morning will move offshore and a southerly flow will develop, temperatures still will be chilly with highs in the upper 40s.
A frontal system approaching from the west will cause skies to cloud up this evening, overnight temperatures will remain in the 40s, rain will develop by daybreak tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow will be milder but with periods of rain that may be moderate to heavy at times especially in the afternoon, expect about an inch of rainfall.
Partial clearing and cooler on Friday.
Unseasonably cold weather for the weekend, it will be mainly dry but there is a low chance of showers Saturday afternoon.
Another frontal system will give us a chance of shower early next week with moderating temperatures.
