Skies are mostly clear early on this Thursday morning and it is quite warm with temperatures ranging from the mid 70s here in Clifton to the mid 60s in the cooler valleys, winds are mainly calm and the humidity continues to be high.
Today will start off clear and temperatures will rise again into the low 90s but a trough of low pressure will cause some heavy rain in thunderstorms this afternoon and early this evening, a flash flood watch is in effect for our area. Some of these storms may also be accompanied by gust winds, small hail and frequent cloud to ground lightning.
Hot and humid again on Friday, most of the day will be dry but front will cause likely cause more showers and thunderstorms Friday night into Saturday.
A cold front will cross the area Saturday afternoon or evening followed by cooler and much drier air Sunday with dry and comfortable weather lasting through the middle of next week.

TONIGHT – Showers and thunderstorms likely this evening followed by partial clearing after midnight, low in the mid 70s.
FRIDAY – Mostly sunny, hot and humid, high in the mid 90s. Showers and thunderstorms likely at night with heavy rain possible.
SATURDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.
SUNDAY – Mostly sunny, cooler and much less humid, high in the mid 80s.
MONDAY – Sunny, high in the upper 80s.
TUESDAY – Sunny, high in the mid 80s.
WEDNESDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 80s.
MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Southerly winds to 10 knots, seas 1 foot. Water temperatures are in the low 70s.
