A little less hot and humid today! More humid on Tuesday with showers and thunderstorms likely!


Skies are mostly clear early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from the mid 70s here in Clifton to around 70 further inland, it is still muggy with dew points around 70.

Today we should see plenty of sunshine, temperatures and humidity levels will not be as high as the past weekend but temperatures will still rise into the low 90s.

A warm front moving to our north on Tuesday will again cause an increase in humidity along with showers and thunderstorms, some of these storms may be accompanied by heavy rain and strong gusty winds.

A cold front will cross the area on Wednesday that may cause a shower mainly in the morning, the front will be followed by less humid air.

Mainly dry and seasonably warm weather with lower humidity Thursday through the weekend.

 

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – Mostly sunny, high in the low 90s.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 2 a.m., low in the low 70s.

TUESDAY – Mostly cloudy and humid with showers and thunderstorms likely, some storms may contain very heavy rain and strong gusty winds, high near 90.

WEDNESDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of a thunderstorm mainly in the morning, less humid by the afternoon, high near 90.

THURSDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 80s.

FRIDAY – Mostly sunny, high near 90.

SATURDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

SUNDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – East wind to 7 knots, seas 1-2 feet.  Water temperatures are in the mid 70s.

OUTLOOK – Possible small craft advisories Tuesday night into Wednesday, no advisories expected Thursday and Friday.
