Warmer today with less clouds as Hermine weakens off the coast! Hot tomorrow through Saturday and mainly dry!


Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures range from around 70 in the Clifton area to the low 60s further inland, there is a northerly breeze and it is rather muggy.

As Hermine weakens today we should have high pressure move into the area, with more sunshine temperatures will be warmer and it will be on the humid side.

Hot and humid on Thursday with partly sunny skies, there is a chance of a thunderstorm after midnight as a weak front moves through the area.

Continued hot and humid Friday and Saturday, another stronger front will give us a low chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Cooler and much less humid Sunday afternoon through early next week with no precipitation expected.

 

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – Mostly cloudy, high in the mid 80s.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy, low in the upper 60s.

THURSDAY – Partly sunny hot and humid, high in the low 90s, chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight.

FRIDAY – Mostly sunny, hot and humid, high in the low 90s.

SATURDAY – Mostly sunny and humid, high in the upper 80s, chance of showers and thunderstorms at night.

SUNDAY – Chance of morning showers and thunderstorms followed by partial sunshine and becoming much less humid, high in the mid 80s.

MONDAY – Sunny and pleasant, high near 80.

TUESDAY – Sunny, high in the low 80s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – Small craft advisory is in effect till noon today for northwest winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 3-6 feet.  Water temperatures are in the mid 70s, rip current threat remains high.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Thursday through Sunday.
