Light rain and drizzle developing this morning and continuing into Tuesday morning with rising temperatures!


Skies have become mostly cloudy over the area on this Monday morning and temperatures range from the upper 20s here in Clifton to around 20 further inland, winds are light.

A warm front will be approaching the area today, some light rain or drizzle will likely develop ahead of the front with some freezing rain or drizzle possible well inland this morning.  Mainly light rain will continue tonight along with rising temperatures with readings by daybreak tomorrow possibly reaching the 50s.

A cold front will cross the area around noon tomorrow, temperatures ahead of the front will be quite mild with highs in the upper 50s which will gradually fall by late in the day.

Wednesday looks to be a dry day with temperatures slightly above normal.

Another cold front will give us a chance of rain on Thursday which again may start as freezing precipitation inland.

Seasonably cold and dry weather Friday and Saturday.

Low pressure may give us a chance of rain or snow on New Year’s Day.

TONIGHT – Chance of light rain or drizzle this evening with rain likely after midnight, temperatures rising to the low 50s by daybreak.

TUESDAY – Rain likely mainly before 10 a.m. high in the upper 50s.

WEDNESDAY- Mostly sunny, high in the low 40s.

THURSDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain possible beginning as a mixture of snow, high in the mid  40s.

FRIDAY – Partly sunny, high near 40.

SATURDAY – Mostly sunny, high near 40.

NEW YEAR’S DAY –  Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain or snow, high in the mid 40s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – Southeast wind to 12 knots, seas 2 feet.  Small craft advisory posted from 6 p.m. this evening till 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

OUTLOOK – Advisories possible Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, no advisories expected Wednesday afternoon through the day on Thursday with advisories likely Thursday night into Friday.
