Colder and windy today after yesterday’s storms! Milder and dry on Monday! Rain likely and quite mild Tuesday into Wednesday!

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 26, 2017  5:48 A.M.

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and temperatures are much cooler than the last few mornings with readings ranging from the mid 30s in the Clifton area to the upper 20s further inland, winds are gusty out of the northwest.

Our recent amazing warmth ended with a rare February thunderstorm yesterday evening and today will be much cooler as temperatures fall to near normal and with a gusty wind especially this morning it will feel colder, skies will become mostly sunny after early morning cloudiness as high pressure builds into the area.

The high pressure will move offshore on Monday and a return flow of milder air will again move into the area, temperatures will climb into the 50s after a chilly early morning.

Low pressure is expected to move up into the Great Lakes Tuesday into Wednesday and a mild flow will continue over the area along with a chance of rain on Tuesday with rain likely late Tuesday night into Wednesday.

A cold front will cross the area Thursday morning possibly accompanied by showers.

Much colder Friday and Saturday with a low chance of some snow on Friday.
