Humid today with a good chance of showers! Warm and continued humid through the weekend!


THURSDAY  SEPTEMBER 14, 2017  5:52 A.M.

Skies are cloudy across the area early on this Thursday morning and it is warmer and more humid than the last several mornings, temperatures range from around 70 in the Clifton area down to the mid 60s further inland, humidity is high and there is some patchy fog in some spots.

Today will be a mostly cloudy day and it will be humid with a good chance of showers as the weak remains of Irma move through the area.

Warm and rather humid conditions Friday through the weekend as high pressure builds over the area, there is a low chance of an afternoon shower Friday and Saturday.

Warmer than normal temperatures with mainly dry conditions most of next week but there is a chance that Hurricane Jose will come close enough to cause high surf for the coastal areas.

TODAY – SEP 14 – Cloudy with a chance of showers, high near 80.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, low in the mid 60s.

FRIDAY – SEP 15 – Partly sunny, chance of an afternoon or evening shower and thunderstorm, high in the low 80s.

SATURDAY – SEP 16 – Partly sunny with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower and thunderstorm, high in the low 80s.

SUNDAY – SEP 17 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 80s.

MONDAY – SEP 18 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 70s.

TUESDAY – SEP 19 – Mostly sunny, high near 80.

WEDNESDAY – SEP 20 – Mostly sunny, high near 80.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – South-southwest wind to 10 knots, seas 1-2 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected on Friday;   possible small craft conditions for high seas Saturday through Monday.

 

TROPICS;  Hurricane Jose is nearly stationary well north of Puerto Rico with top winds of 75 mph, Jose is expected to move northward off the east coast of the U.S., heavy surf is likely along the coast but at this time no heavy rain or wind is anticipated.
