Good morning everyone!
Another muggy early morning across the area under mostly cloudy to cloudy skies, temperatures range from the mid 70s in the Clifton area down to the upper 60s further inland, winds are mainly calm and the humidity is very high. Yesterday 0.57 inches of rain fell in an afternoon thunderstorm.
Continued very warm and humid today as temperatures climb well up into the 80s and with dew points in the oppressive 70s will bring heat indexes to above 95 degrees, a heat advisory continues in effect. The day should be dry except for a chance of a late day thunderstorm to our north and west.
A cold front approaching from the west will cause showers and thunderstorms from late tonight into early Friday afternoon, rain may be heavy at times. The front will cross the area Friday afternoon followed by much cooler and drier air by Friday night.
The weekend weather will be very pleasant with plenty of sunshine both days and with comfortable temperatures and humidity.
Mainly dry conditions with a gradual increase in heat and humidity next week although the heat and humidity should not be as intense as the last several days. The only chance of rain will be from a weak disturbance Tuesday afternoon.
