Mainly dry and cold with below normal temperatures through the middle of next week!


Good morning!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Thursday morning and temperatures range from the upper 20s in Clifton to the teens inland, Walpack being the coldest reading at  13 degrees.

Today we will see an increase in clouds as a weak cold front approaches the area, daytime highs will be a couple of degrees higher than yesterday but still be below normal.  There is a slight chance of a couple of flurries tonight with the front.

Mainly fair weather tomorrow through the weekend with cold temperatures, the coldest day will be Saturday with highs just above freezing.

Computer models continue to show the storm for Monday and Tuesday to stay well south of our area.

High pressure will continue the dry and cold weather through Wednesday.

 

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – DEC 6 – Increasing cloudiness, high near 40.

TONIGHT – Cloudy in the early evening then clearing, low around 30.

FRIDAY – DEC 7 – Sunny, high in the upper 30s.

SATURDAY – DEC 8 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 30s.

SUNDAY – DEC 9 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 30s.

MONDAY – DEC 10 – Mostly sunny, high near 40.

TUESDAY – DEC 11 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 30s.

WEDNESDAY – DEC 12 – Sunny, high in the low 40s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  A small craft advisories has been posted effective from 3 p.m. this afternoon until 6 a.m. Friday morning for westerly winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-5 feet.

OUTLOOK – Lingering small craft advisory conditions possible Friday through Saturday;  advisories again possible depending on the low pressure track Sunday into Monday.
