Skies are cloudy early on this Sunday morning and there is some light rain falling in parts of the area. Temperatures range from the upper 60s in Clifton down to around 60 further inland. Winds are mainly from the northeast.

Low pressure will be moving along a front to our south which will cause some light rain in our area today, rainfall amounts should be less than 1/4″. Clouds and an onshore wind will keep high tempertures only in the low 70s Winds will be a little brisk out of the northeast.
Warmer on Monday but a weak cold front may touch of some afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.
The rest of the week looks to be seasonably warm but with no excessive heat as we have had much of the summer. Most of the week will be dry but a couple of weak fronts may cause showers Thursday and again on Saturday.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m.. Monday evening for northeast winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 4-7 feet. Point Pleasant Beach’s ocean temperature is 75 degrees.
