Finally a nice sunrise this morning but clouds will increase this afternoon with rain likely tonight into Monday! Showers still possible Tuesday and Wednesday! Heavier rain possible Thursday into Friday!

Good morning!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and temperatures are about 20 degrees cooler than this time yesterday, but normal for this time of year, with readings ranging from the low 40s in Clifton down to the mid 30s further inland, winds are light northerly.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR OCTOBER 25TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 60 AVERAGE LOW: 42

RECORD HIGH: 77 – 2001 RECORD LOW: 32 – 2003

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 71 LOW: 46 PRECIPITATION: NONE

We should see a sunrise this morning for the first time in nearly a week, but clouds will return by this afternoon as low pressure across a front to our south approaches our area. A cool northeast flow will keep high temperatures only on the low 50s. Rain will likely develop by this evening and continue into at least Monday morning but showers are still possible Monday afternoon.

There is a chance of showers Tuesday and Wednesday with near seasonable temperatures.

A better chance of heavier rain Thursday into Friday as low pressure with some possible tropical moisture from Tropical Storm Zeta expected to affect the area.

At this point Halloween looks to be chilly and dry.
