A stationary front is to our south as high pressure tries to build from the north. Today will be a cloudy day again with some light showers likely. Easterly winds will gust above 20 mph at times especially this afternoon and evening.

NOTEOn this day in 1985 Hurricane Gloria gave our area heavy rain and damaging winds.

A cold front moved to our south overnight and we now have a northeast flow. Skies will remain cloudy today with a chance of some light scattered showers this morning. The humidity will be a little lower today with dew points in the 60s.

An upper level low along with some of the moisture from Hurricane Helene will again give us cloudy skies on Saturday with a good chance of showers.

Sunday and Monday look dry as high pressure noses down from New England, temperatures will be seasonably cool.

A frontal system will give us another good chance of showers Tuesday that may linger into Wednesday followed by a dry day on Thursday as the front moves offshore.

Cloudy skies will persist today as a warm front moves through the area by this afternoon, followed by a cold front tonight. Showers and possibly some thunderstorms are likely mainly this afternoon and evening. Temperatures will not be as cool as the last few days and the humidity will rise with dew points near 70 this afternoon and evening.

Weak high pressure will try to build from the north on Friday, and we should still have cloudy skies with seasonably mild temperatures and lower humidity. Some showers are possible in the morning then again late at night.

More clouds than sun over the weekend with a chance of showers on Saturday as an upper low moves into our area. High temperatures will be near or slightly below normal.

Today will be a cloudy and cool day with a chance of showers developing by this afternoon as a warm front approaches from the west.

The warm front will pass the area early Thursday morning and we will then be in the warm sector, which will cause warmer and more humid conditions. Highs will be in the upper 70s with dew points approaching 70. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and night as the cold front moves through the area.

Still some lingering clouds on Friday, but we should stay dry with slightly above normal temperatures.

Last night we had .02″ of rain that ended our 16 straight days without any measurable precipitation.

Today high pressure to our northeast will continue a light onshore flow and we should have mostly cloudy skies, but we should see a little more sunshine than yesterday. High temperatures will only be in the upper 60s.

A slow moving frontal system will give us a chance of showers on Wednesday along with cloudy and cool conditions.

Thursday there will still be a chance of showers but it will become warmer and more humid.

Right now Friday through the weekend looks mainly dry as most of the moisture from what will become Hurricane Helene should stay to our south.
