Yesterday’s 99 degrees was the highest temperature since July 24, 2022 when it was also 99 degrees.

One more day of heat and humidity as a cold front approaches our area. Highs today may be a couple of degrees lower than yesterday, but the dew points will rise to the low 70s bringing heat indexes again past 105 degrees. A heat advisory continues in effect. After missing much of the thunderstorm activity the last few days today showers and thunderstorms will be more widespread today and tonight with possible some severe storms. Torrential downpours and strong damaging winds are possible.

The cold front will cross the area early Thursday morning and we should have a mostly sunny day with cooler temperatures with highs only in the 80s. The dew points will also drop to around 60 which will make it feel much more refreshing than the last several days.

Dry and seasonably warm temperatures with comfortable humidity Friday through the weekend as high pressure builds over the area.

The humidity may rise somewhat early next week with a chance of showers Monday night into Tuesday.

Today will be another very hot day with high temperatures approaching 100, however the humidity will be slightly lower with dew points in the 60s. Showers and thunderstorms are likely later this afternoon and this evening, some storms may be strong to severe with strong gusty winds and hail.

A cold front approaching from the west as the high pressure ridge will be moving offshore. Another hot day with increasing humidity on Wednesday with showers and some strong to severe thunderstorms are likely mainly in the afternoon and again at night.

The cold front will cross the area Thursday morning with lingering showers ending followed by clearing skies along with cooler temperatures and much less humidity.

The weak front that gave us the rain yesterday has dissipated and high pressure will build into the area today providing us with plenty of sunshine with highs reaching into the low to mid 90s. The humidity will be rather high but not oppressive with dew points in the upper 60s to near 70.

High heat continues Monday but a weak disturbance will give us a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

Tuesday may even be hotter with highs in some places reaching to near 100 as we will have less clouds.

A cold front will cross the area Wednesday night possibly causing some strong to severe thunderstorms with heavy rain. Highs will again be well up into the 90s with higher humidity.

The weak front in our area will still give us a chance of heavy rain this morning with only a chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. High temperatures with the clouds will only be in the 80s, but dew points remain high with readings in the low 70s. Tonight will be partly cloudy and continued muggy.

Drier but hotter weather for Sunday as the front that has been in our area dissipates and high pressure builds into the area. Temperatures will rise to the low 90s, dew points will be in the upper 60s to near 70.

Very hot weather Monday and Tuesday with only a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. Highs both days will be well up into the 90s and with dew points in the low 70s will cause heat indexes to rise past 100 degrees.

A cold front will cross the area Wednesday night accompanied by more of a chance of widespread showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and at night. Temperatures and humidity will remain high during the day.
