Yesterday’s 98 degree reading was the warmest for the date and also the hottest temperature since July 24, 2022.

The intense heat will continue this weekend as the Bermuda high pressure continues to dominate our weather. Temperatures will again be well up into the 90s both days with high humidity as dew points will be around 70 degrees causing heat indexes to rise past 105 degrees. The heat advisory continues in effect through the weekend. Also there is a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms both days.

A cold front will cross the area Monday morning with a chance of showers followed by clearing, cooler and less humidity by Monday afternoon.

Dry and quite warm Tuesday through the day on Wednesday but another cold front will cause some showers and thunderstorms mainly Wednesday night into Thursday followed by drier and less hot weather for Friday.

The strong Bermuda high pressure ridge will give us another very hot and humid day today with temperatures well up into the 90s and with dew points rising to near 70 will cause heat indexes to rise to near 105 degrees. A heat advisory continues in effect. There is a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms later this afternoon into this evening.

A back door cold front will remain to our north over the weekend and a southwesterly flow of very hot and humid weather will continue with highs well up into the 90s and continued high humidity. Scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms are possible both days but much of the weekend should remain dry.

Not as hot on Monday as a cold front moves through the area causing some more showers and thunderstorms.

Tuesday will be very warm but less humid with plenty of sunshine.

A warm front will move to our north Tuesday night and Wednesday will be quite hot and humid again with a chance of showers Wednesday night into Thursday as a cold front moves through the area.

A continued south-southwest flow of hot and humid air will be with us today as summer begins at 4:45 p.m.. this afternoon. Highs will be well up into the 90s and with dew points in the mid 60s will cause the heat index to rise to near 100. Skies will continue to be mostly sunny.

Still hot and even more humid on Friday and as a front approaches from the north which will give us a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

The front will remain just to our north over the weekend and hot and humid weather should continue with a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms both days. Highs should be in the low 90s on Saturday and be in the mid-upper 90s on Sunday.

The front will slowly move through the area on Monday giving us a better chance of showers and thunderstorms.

High pressure will then build into our area for Tuesday and Wednesday with less humid air but temperatures will remain above normal.

High pressure offshore will continue a south-southwest flow of hot air again today, the humidity may be a little lower than yesterday with dew points in the low-mid 60s. Skies will be mostly sunny.

The high pressure will continue to give us hot and humid weather again on Thursday with temperatures and humidity slightly higher than today.

Hot and humid on Friday but a front approaching from the north will give us a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

The front will be in our area on Saturday so it should be less hot with more clouds and a chance of showers.

The front will move further to our north on Sunday so temperatures and humidity will be higher with again a chance of showers.

A strong ridge of high pressure offshore will give us a southwesterly flow of hot and humid air today, high temperatures will rise into the low 90s with dew points in the 60s. Skies will be mostly sunny.

The Bermuda high pressure will continue to give us very hot weather Wednesday through Friday, with highs well up into the 90s each day with dew points approaching the 70 degree mark. Also a weak front may touch off some showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon and evening.

It should be a little less hot over the weekend as there will be more clouds around, along with a chance of showers each day as a couple of weak fronts move through our area.
