A warm front will move to our north this morning and we will have southerly flow of warmer and more humid air today, dew points should rise into the 60s after being in the 40s much of this past weekend.

An extended period of very hot and humid air Tuesday through Friday, a heat advisory has been issued for Tuesday and Wednesday but will probably be extended through at least Friday. Little or no rain chances expected. Highs should rise to well into the 90s along with dew points mainly in the upper 60s.

The weekend still looks hot and humid but there will be a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers both days.

Yesterday’s storms caused some strong wind gusts but very little rain here in Clifton.

High pressure building in from the Great Lakes will give us a mostly sunny day today with seasonable warm temperatures and lower humidity.

The high pressure will then move off the New England coast on Sunday and with an onshore flow, high temperatures will be a little lower than today, the humidity will stay low.

A warm front is expected to move through the area on Monday bringing in warmer and more humid air, highs should be well up into the 80s.

Today will start off partly to mostly sunny, but a cold front approaching from the west will give us a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m., with storms becoming more likely after 5 p.m. Some of these storms may become severe with strong gusty winds and heavy rain.

High pressure will then build into our area for the weekend with near normal temperatures, plenty of sunshine and low humidity.

As the high pressure ridge moves offshore a south-southwest flow of very warm air will dominate our weather for next week with increasing humidity. Little or no rainfall is expected. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s on Monday then rise to well up into the 90s for the rest of the week.
