Skies are partly cloudy early on this Friday morning and again it is mild with temperatures ranging from 64 in Clifton down to 59 at High Point. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is good with an index of 48.

Showers and thunderstorms yesterday that gave us some heavy rain has moved offshore as weak high pressure builds into the area today. Temperatures will again be warm in the 80s, but the humidity will drop with dew points falling into the 50s, which is much more comfortable than dew points in the 70s that we had yesterday.

The weekend looks to be mainly dry with near seasonable temperatures. An upper level low over the northeast with some disturbances moving through the area, but there will be only a slight (20%) of showers on Sunday.

Most of next week continues to look mainly dry, although the GFS computer model shows some moisture come up from the south that would give us rain on Wednesday, although most of the other models keep us dry. Temperatures look to be seasonable but rise to a little above normal towards the end of next week.

A warm front moving through the area this morning is causing showers and thunderstorms. The rain should end by 6 a.m. and we should stay dry until this afternoon when a cold front should cause more showers and thunderstorms which should end by this evening. It will be very humid with dew points near or just about 70 degrees.

High pressure will then build into the area on Friday providing our area with plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures and much lower humidity with dew points falling into the 50s.

Seasonably mild weather for the weekend with moderate humidity. Saturday should be dry, but there will be a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms on Sunday as an upper level low will be in our area.

Still a chance of afternoon and evening showers on Monday and Tuesday followed by dry weather for Wednesday, temperatures will be seasonably warm.

High pressure well offshore and a warm front approaching from the southwest will give us a partly sunny day after early morning low clouds. Temperatures will be warm with highs in the 80s with rather high humidity with dew points in the 60s.

Showers with possibly some thunderstorms should occur from late tonight through Thursday afternoon as a warm front moves to our north in the morning, followed by a cold front moving through by Thursday evening. Rainfall amounts will average between 1/2 to 1 inch with high amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday will be a mostly sunny day with warm temperatures and less humidity.

Unsettled weather for the weekend through early next week as an upper level low will be near our area. Although much of the area will remain dry there is a chance of mainly afternoon showers especially Sunday and again on Monday. Temperatures and humidity will be near seasonable levels.

High pressure building from the New England coast will give us a light onshore flow. Temperatures will once again reach the 80s but will be cooler near the shore.

A frontal system will approach the area on Wednesday, most of the day will be dry but there will be a chance of showers in the afternoon. Showers will become more widespread at night.

A warm front will pass through the area on Thursday with showers and thunderstorms continuing with some heavy rain possible. High temperatures should be in the 80s with dew points in the upper 60s.

An upper level low will be over the northeast Friday through the beginning of next week, Although most of the time it will be dry, there will be a chance of showers mainly in the afternoon each day. Temperatures will be seasonable and the humidity will drop somewhat.
