Skies are mostly clear early on this Wednesday morning, temperatures are cooler than the last few mornings, but still slightly above normal with readings ranging from 58 in Clifton down to 51 at Pequest and Hackettstown. Winds are calm or light westerly. The air quality is good with an index of 24.

Today will start off mostly sunny but we will have increasing cloudiness with showers becoming likely by late this afternoon and continue into Thursday morning as a weak frontal system moves through the area. Rainfall amounts will be around 1/2 inch.
Clearing by Thursday afternoon and it will be cooler with much less humidity as high pressure builds from the Great Lakes.
Friday will be a sunny and seasonably cool day as the high pressure moves closer to our area.
The high pressure will then move off the coast and we will have a west to southwest flow of warmer air for the weekend along with mostly sunny skies both days, highs will be mainly in the low 80s.
Dry and warm weather should extend into early next week.
