Rain is falling over much of the area early on this Monday morning and temperatures are unseasonably mild with readings ranging from 54 in Clifton down to 49 at High Point. Winds are calm or light northeasterly. The air quality is good with an index of 44.

The front that is giving us the rain will move offshore and the rain should end by later this morning. Highs in the 50s this morning will fall to the upper 40s by sunset. Skies will clear by this evening and it will be a little breezy with gusts to 25 mph.

Dry weather for Tuesday and Wednesday along with above normal temperatures.

Another frontal system will likely give us rain mainly Thursday afternoon and night.

Friday will be cooler and quite windy as the cyclonic flow off the low pressure that will be moving off the Maine coast.

At this point the weather for this upcoming weekend looks dry with again above normal temperatures.

A warm front will move to our north this morning and a brisk southerly flow will clear out much of the drizzle and fog by noontime. It should remain cloudy. A cold front will cross the area tonight accompanied by strong southerly winds to 35 mph and heavy rain at times. Temperatures will be quite mild with highs well up into the 60s. Rainfall amounts will be between 1-2 inches.

The frontal system will be slow to move offshore so there will be a chance of showers throughout the day on Monday. Temperatures will be a little cooler with a brisk wind at times.

Tuesday and Wednesday look to be nice spring like days with plenty of sunshine, lighter winds and mild temperatures.

A cold front is expected to pass through our area on Thursday possibly accompanied by some showers and followed by a strong northwest flow of much cooler air for Friday.

High pressure off the New England coast will give us a light southeasterly flow of mild and moist air today. Skies will remain cloudy much of the day with scattered patchy drizzle especially this morning.

A warm front will move to our north late tonight and we will have an increasingly southerly flow of quite mild air on Sunday. There may be some scattered showers Sunday morning but most of the heavier showers will occur from late in the afternoon through the early hours of Sunday. Winds will gust at times to above 40 mph. Rainfall amounts will be around one inch.

Monday will be mainly cloudy and cooler as the cold front associated with the low pressure moves slowly off the coast. There still will be a chance of showers in the morning.

Mild and dry weather returns for Tuesday and Wednesday as weak high pressure moves into the area.

Another cold front may cause some showers on Thursday followed by much cooler and breezy weather for Friday.

A strong frontal system will give us rain and wind on Sunday. There will be a chance of showers in the morning then showers possibly heavy at times will develop mainly after 2 p.m. and continue through Sunday night. Temperatures will be quite mild with highs well up into the 60s. Winds will increase from the south with possible gusts over 40 mph. Rainfall amounts will average between 1 to 1 1/2 inches.
