Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Thursday morning and once again it is quite mild with temperatures ranging from 63 in Clifton down to 55 at Lafayette. There are some sprinkles falling to our north and west. Winds have become northwest. The air quality is moderate with an index of 52.

A cold front is moving through the area this morning with some clouds and sprinkles, the front will be followed by a brisk northwest flow of cooler air today. High temperatures should reach the upper 60s which is still above normal. Clear and cooler tonight as temperatures drop to the 40s by Friday morning with some frost possible further inland.

High pressure will be over the area on Friday giving us sunny skies, light winds and slightly above normal temperatures.

Another cold front is expected to come through dry on Saturday. Skies will be partly sunny with temperatures again slightly above normal.

High pressure will then build into our area for Sunday and Monday with dry conditions and slightly below normal temperatures.

Our impressive dry period should continue the rest of next week and it will become milder. In fact it may be the warmest Halloween with highs expected to rise to well up into the 70s to possibly up to 80 degrees.

High pressure will be moving off the coast and we will have a brisk southwest flow of again unseasonably warm air today with near record highs possible as the temperatures reach near the 80 degree mark.

A cold front will come through late tonight only accompanied by clouds and a slight chance of some sprinkles. The front will be followed by cooler and breezy weather along with clearing skies on Thursday.

High pressure will give us a sunny day on Friday with slightly above normal temperatures.

Some clouds but no rain on Friday night into Saturday, as another weak cold front moves through the area. Temperatures will again be a little above normal.

High pressure will then build into the area providing dry and cool weather for Sunday and Monday.

Dry weather is expected to persist next week with a warming trend. We may have our warmest Halloween on record as highs may reach well up into the 70s.

Another very warm day is expected today with near record high temperatures. The record high for today in Clifton is 84 degrees set in 1979 which was 12 days after having our earliest snow flurries. Skies today will be sunny with light winds, the humidity will increase a bit with dew points in the 50s.

The high pressure will be moving off the southeast coast on Wednesday and we will have a brisk southwest flow, high temperatures should be a little lower than today but still be well above normal.

A weak cold front will come through late Wednesday night with a slight (20%) chance of a brief shower followed by clearing and cooler weather for Thursday along with breezy conditions.

Mainly dry with near seasonable temperatures Friday and Saturday, another weak cold front will cross our area late Saturday with again only a slight chance of a shower.

Cooler weather is expected Sunday and Monday as high pressure builds in from the Great Lakes. Skies will be mostly sunny both days.

A cold front will cross the area late Wednesday night and is expected to come through without any showers. The front will be followed by a brisk northwest flow of cooler air for Thursday.
