Today will be a sunny day as high pressure is moving off the coast and we will have light winds. High temperatures will be near 30 which is still below normal. A cold front will come through dry this evening.

Below normal temperatures will continue on Saturday and a weak disturbance will cause more clouds than sun.

Sunday will be milder with highs near 40, skies will become mostly sunny after early morning cloudiness.

Dry with near seasonable temperatures Monday through the day on Wednesday as high pressure dominates our weather.

Another cold front may cause some snow showers Wednesday night followed by colder weather Thursday into Friday.

Arctic high pressure will be slowly moving off the coast today and we should have mostly sunny skies after some early morning cloudiness. High temperatures will be about 10 degrees milder than yesterday with light winds.

Continued cold but not frigid Friday and Saturday along with mostly sunny skies and light winds.

Dry but milder Sunday through at least Tuesday.

Continued dry and somewhat colder on Wednesday. With no precipitation expected through the next several days we are on track to have the driest January on record. So far only .48″ of precipitation as our drought conditions continue.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures are bitterly cold once again with temperatures ranging from 6 in Clifton to a frigid -14 degrees at both Sandyston and Walpack. Winds are calm or light northwesterly. The air quality is good with an index of 48.

Arctic high pressure will be over us today providing our area with sunny skies and again very cold temperatures with highs similar to yesterday only rising to near 20 degrees. Again winds will be light.

Not as frigid but still well below normal temperatures Thursday and Friday, both days will be sunny with continued light winds.

Dry weather looks to continue over the weekend. Temperatures on Saturday will continue to be below normal then rise to near normal readings on Sunday.

Our dry weather to continue early next week with near normal temperatures.

Note: Record snowfall occurred along the Gulf coast from Houston Texas to the Florida panhandle yesterday.

Since I started records in 1973, today January 21st, has the coldest average temperature of the year with highs averaging 32.9 degrees and the average low is 18.0 degrees.

Arctic high pressure will give us a partly sunny and very cold day again today with high temperatures struggling to hit the 20 degree mark. Luckily the winds will be light.

Dry and very cold weather to continue Wednesday through Friday with only a slight moderation in temperatures as the Arctic high will build closer to our area.

A slight moderation in temperatures over the weekend but we will still have below normal temperatures.

A weak frontal system may touch off some snow showers on Monday.

Yesterday’s storm fell a little short of the 5-9″ that we forecasted yesterday but we were treated with some thundersnow in the evening.

The storm that gave us the snow is moving off the New England coast as Arctic high pressure builds from the west. Today will be partly sunny, winds will be gusty this morning but diminish this afternoon. High temperatures will only be in the 20s with overnight lows tonight in the single digits.

Arctic high pressure will dominate our weather with continued very cold temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday. We should stay dry as low pressure that will affect the deep south stays well to our south.

Dry with some moderating temperatures Thursday and Friday but these readings will still be well below normal.

Temperatures will become more seasonable over the weekend and at this point it looks to be mainly dry.
