The weak front that gave us the rain yesterday has dissipated and high pressure will build into the area today providing us with plenty of sunshine with highs reaching into the low to mid 90s. The humidity will be rather high but not oppressive with dew points in the upper 60s to near 70.

High heat continues Monday but a weak disturbance will give us a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

Tuesday may even be hotter with highs in some places reaching to near 100 as we will have less clouds.

A cold front will cross the area Wednesday night possibly causing some strong to severe thunderstorms with heavy rain. Highs will again be well up into the 90s with higher humidity.

Some lingering showers on Thursday followed by much cooler and drier air Friday through next weekend as temperatures fall to near normal for a change.

Yesterday we only had some light showers as some parts of southern New Jersey received over 3 inches of rain.

The weak front in our area will still give us a chance of heavy rain this morning with only a chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. High temperatures with the clouds will only be in the 80s, but dew points remain high with readings in the low 70s. Tonight will be partly cloudy and continued muggy.

Drier but hotter weather for Sunday as the front that has been in our area dissipates and high pressure builds into the area. Temperatures will rise to the low 90s, dew points will be in the upper 60s to near 70.

Very hot weather Monday and Tuesday with only a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. Highs both days will be well up into the 90s and with dew points in the low 70s will cause heat indexes to rise past 100 degrees.

A cold front will cross the area Wednesday night accompanied by more of a chance of widespread showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and at night. Temperatures and humidity will remain high during the day.

Chance of a lingering shower on Thursday but it will be cooler and less humid as high pressure builds into the area. Friday looks to be a dry and pleasant day with temperatures even a bit below normal.

A front just to our east extends from Maine to the Carolinas. Rain from this system is expected to move into our area by this afternoon and become heavy at times especially tonight through Saturday afternoon. With more clouds, high temperatures both today and tomorrow will only be in the 80s, but the dew point will again rise to the low 70s.

Another summer heatwave is expected Sunday through Wednesday as the trough offshore dissipates and high pressure builds in. Each day high tempertures will be in the 90s. The dew points will be in the upper 60s on Sunday and rise to the 70s by Monday. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday night.

A cold front is expected to pass through Wednesday evening with more widespread showers and thunderstorms followed by cooler and less humid air on Thursday.

A weak front will be moving just off the coast today and we should have clearing after some early morning showers. High temperatures will still be quite warm but the humidity will be lower with dew points in the 60s instead of the high 70s we had yesterday.

The weak front will move back over our area for Friday into Saturday which will likely give us some showers and thunderstorms both days, some rain may be heavy at times. Highs will only be in the 80s but the humidity will again rise with dew points again over 70 degrees.

Get ready for another heatwave as high temperatures Sunday through Wednesday will be well up into the 90s along with rather high humidity. A cold front may cause some showers Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Today will be another hot and humid day as a warm front comes through this morning. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny. Highs will again will be in the 90s and with dew points in the 70s will cause heat indexes to rise past 100, a heat advisory is in effect. There is a chance of an isolated shower and thunderstorm but most areas will remain dry.

A weak cold front will come through on Thursday causing temperatures and humidity to be a little lower. The front will then stay along the coast and there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening and night.

More humid on Friday but with considerable cloudiness high temperatures should only rise to the 80s. Showers and thunderstorms will be more likely with some heavy rain possible.

The coastal front will slowly dissipate over the weekend but there still will be a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms on Saturday. Sunday should be dry and hot.

Hot weather to continue early next week but the humidity will be not as high as our current heat wave. A cold front approaching on Tuesday will give us another chance of showers and thunderstorms.
